The attackers attempted to set ablaze Ziyarat Hyder Rishi shrine in the outskirts of Dabrana in the district in the morning hours today, they said.
"The shrine is safe and only a minor damage to the matting has occurred in the incident, they said.
Police have lodged an FIR and started investigations.
