Artists to perform at charity concert for education programme

To raise funds for providing education to underprivileged children in rural parts of the country under the 'Gift A Smile' programme, two artists will perform at a charity concert here on Saturday.

'Gift A Smile' is an ambitious project launched by Bhanumathi Narasimhan, sister of the Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, dedicated to education of underprivileged children and first generation learners across the country, Mumbai chapter of Art Of Living said in a statement here today.

The artists, Bhaskar Das and Rohan Das Gupta will perform on flute and tabla respectively at the charity concert titled "Atreya" to be held Yogi Sabhagruha, Dadar East at 6.30 PM.
 

Sharing details about the event, Narasimhan, who is the director of women and child welfare programmes at The Art of Living said, "Atreya is a great opportunity for one to join a noble cause of education in rural India."

Under the 'Gift A Smile' project, the Art of Living runs 425 free schools, with over 53,000 students in 20 states of India.
