The Army Training Command (ARTRAC) today celebrated its 27th Raising Day byorganising wreath laying ceremony in the memory of gallant martyrs, followed by 'Special Sainik Sammelan'.

Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen D R Soni, GOC-in-Chief ARTRAC, exhorted all ranks to put in sustained efforts to push the great organisation towards reaching pinnacles of glory, adding that "we should always be prepared to face the numerous challenges ahead of us".

Raised in Delhi on October 1, 1991, HQ ARTRAC moved to Mhow (Madhya Pradesh), and shifted to its present location at Shimla in March 1993.
The Army Training Command provides training support to the Indian Army in all its facets, enabling the Army to execute its role and tasks both in peace and war and is also responsible for developing concepts and doctrine for current and future warfare.
ARTRAC facilitates 32 training establishments, located all over the country, to function with focus on institutionalised training for Indian Army personnel and also implement training policies.
