Arunachal boy to get Bravery award

14-year-old Rumoh Meto has been selected for the National Bravery Award, 2014, for rescuing his cousin caught in a live wire in Arunachal Pradesh, an official communique said here today.

A standard IX student of a government school at Roing in Lower Debang Valley district, Rumoh freed his 24-year-old cousin Milu Mega caught in a 33-KV high voltage transmission live wire in November last, it said.

Mega suffered burns but Rumoh was relatively unhurt.

"The award will inspire me throughout my life to excel better and work for my nation and fellow brothers," Rumoh said.
