Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki today expressed gratefulness to the people of the state for reinstating their faith on the Congress government by giving it the mandate with an overwhelming majority in the just concluded assembly elections.
"People have reposed their faith on Congress government by electing 42 Congress candidates, including eleven unopposed, to the 60-member Legislative Assembly. This is the result of our developmental and pro-people activities in recent years," he said in a statement today.
Tuki attributed the election success to the novel and ambitious programs and schemes launched by Congress government over the years for development of the state.
"We placed our vision for the future through election manifesto. The people accepted it whole-heartedly and placed their confidence in us," he said.
