Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra advised the students of the state's first Sainik School to be disciplined in order to excel in life, a Raj Bhawan statement said Friday.
The governor, during his visit to the school at Niglok in East Siang district, on Thursday, interacted with the students and said that very few people get selected to pursue their education in Sainik Schools, which are considered to be the best in the country, it said.
"Avail maximum benefit from the good facility and become good and useful citizens," the quoted him as saying.
He was extremely pleased when the students told him that they wanted to join the National Defence Academy (NDA).
He asked them to prepare themselves to face the challenges in future and imbibe nationalism.

The governor also interacted with the officials, teachers and staff of the school.
The officiating principal of the school, Lt Col ADS Jasrotia briefed the governor about the institute, which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on September 11 this year.
The governor and his wife Neelam Mishra also distributed sweets and T-shirts among the students, the statement said, adding, he also planted a sapling in the premises of the school campus.
