Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday extended their greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Janmashtami.
In a message, the governor said Janmashtami is the day of birth of Lord Krishna who was born as a pure and infinite consciousness to eliminate the evil and revive the goodness.
"May the festival inspire us to inculcate best, just and right action," the governor added.
In his message, Khandu called upon all the people, irrespective of religion and faith, to celebrate the festival with the true spirit of harmony and peace.
"I wish you Happy Krishna Janmashtami and pray to God for prosperity in life. May all find the delights of life and all dreams come true," the chief minister said.
