Chief Minister Pema Khandu today advocated aggressive campaign for the growth of tourism in Arunachal Pradesh, saying the state has not been able to reach its full potential due to lack of proper policies.
"The state has many things to offer in tourism sector but it has not been able to realise its potential due to lack of proper policies," Khandu said at the Arunachal Tourism Annual Conference organised by the state tourism department.
The chief minister directed the tourism department to depute expert consultants to prepare a roadmap, which would serve as a guide to the government.

Khandu said that funds has been placed for tourism campaigns to make Arunachal known both nationally and internationally as the best tourism destination.
Pointing towards tourism infrastructure that lay unused in the state, he asked the department to focus on proper planning.
Tourism Parliamentary Secretary Pasang Dorjee Sona, who was present on the occasion said, "Promote the state in right perspective, when visibility is gained, tourists will start to come.
