Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today said his Teachers' Day announcement of granting Group B Gazetted status to post graduate teachers (PGT) serving in government schools will be fulfilled soon.
A notification in this regard would be released after discussion with the Education Minister, an official release said quoting the Chief Minister.
A five-member delegation of Arunachal Teachers' Association (ATA) called on Khandu this afternoon and handed him over a copy of a memorandum of its demands earlier submitted to the Education Minister.

He also said the state government would soon rationalize the posting of teachers in the state.
The ATA expressed gratitude to the chief minister for the Teachers' Day announcement and requested for its early notification, the statement said.
The ATA demands included bifurcation of Elementary and Secondary Education department at district and block levels, fast-tracking of promotional process of teachers of all categories and early release of pending salaries of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) teachers.
