Rajkhowa today exhorted the working class to contribute to the 'Clean and Green Arunachal' campaign.

"Arunachal Pradesh is blessed with enormous nature's bounty which is being adversely impacted due to diverse types of pollution. In order to preserve the pristine environment, the members of APB&OCWWB must contribute for the benefit of present and future generations," Rajkhowa said while inaugurating the Health Mela cum Awareness Camp, organised by Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) at Raj Bhavan dispensary here.

The governor also called for maintaining purity of water bodies and appealed o the people of the capital to keep the rivers clean by prohibiting dumping of wastes.
 

Citing the recent cleanliness drive of the Kley River in Ziro, the governor said the people of Ziro had demonstrated the 'Youth Power' and sent a strong message to all on the importance of cleaning and preserving the nature.
