Nikam is one of the 25 players representing the country in the championship, an official communique said here today.
He was selected for the event during the 24th All India Karate Do- Federation AIKF Championship which was held in Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi in May last.
He would take part in 70kg category in Kumite.
Nikam will leave for New Delhi tomorrow to join the national team.
The 37-member national team, including officials, would be leaving for Tashkent on July 12, the communique added.
