Arvind Q4 profit rises 24.09 per cent to Rs 94.05 crore

Textile firm Arvind Ltd today reported a 24.09 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 94.05 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31.

Profit was Rs 75.79 crore in the same period a year ago, the company said in a BSE filing. Net sales climbed 31.06 per cent to Rs 1,880.23 crore.

Overall expenses rose to Rs 1,689.16 crore from Rs 1,267.87 crore in the previous corresponding quarter.

Revenue from textiles increased 26.83 per cent to Rs 1,236.31 crore while revenue from brand and retail rose 36.87 per cent to Rs 501.39 crore.

For the full financial year ended March 31, Arvind's net profit increased to Rs 353.89 crore from Rs 248.41 crore in the previous financial year.
 

Shares of Arvind declined 3.31 per cent to Rs 189.70 at the close on the BSE.
