Senior IPS officer and current NSG chief Arvind Ranjan is tipped to be the new Director General of Central Industrial Security Force which guards the country's civil airports and other key installations.
The post of CISF chief is vacant for over a month when incumbent Rajiv (known by one name) retired on October 31.
Union Home Ministry today issued orders asking Ranjan to hold the charge of CISF DG in an "additional capacity", taking the responsibility away from BSF chief Subhash Joshi.
