Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland today reported a 31 per cent increase in total sales at 16,702 units in March 2016, as against 12,754 units in the same month last year.
Sales for its heavy and medium commercial vehicles increased 32 per cent at 13,240 units in March as against 10,027 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to BSE.
Light commercial vehicles sales also went up 27 per cent and stood at 3,462 units as against 2,727 units in March last year.
For the fiscal 2015-16, total sales were at 1,40,457 units as against 1,04,902 units in the previous year, up 34 per cent.
