Shares of Ashoka Buildcon today soared over 15 per cent after the company said it has received letters of acceptance for projects worth Rs 596.28 crore in South India.
The company's shares ended at Rs 70.25, up 15.16 per cent on the BSE. During the day, the stock zoomed 18.68 per cent to Rs 72.40.
At the NSE, the scrip settled 14.24 per cent higher at Rs 71.

Ashoka Buildcon in a filing to the BSE said: "It has received letters of acceptance (LoAs) for projects viz execution of distribution strengthening works ...In Chennai North and South Regions of Tamilnadu Generation and Distribution Co, Chennai, on total turnkey basis aggregating Rs 596.28 crore from TANGEDCO."
In the broader market, the BSE benchmark Sensex ended at 21,140.48, down 30.20 points.
