Actor Ashton Kutcher has lauded Natalie Portman for calling out Hollywood on its gender pay gap.

The 38-year-old actor stood up for Portman, when she revealed in a recent interview that she earned three times less than her male co-star when they starred in the 2011 romantic comedy, "No Strings Attached", reported E! News.

The "Jobs" actor took to Twitter to express his support for Portman.

"So proud of Natalie and all women who stand up for closing the gender pay gap!" the actor tweeted.

Portman's co-star also shared the link to her interview.

"I wasn't as angry as I should have been. I mean, we get paid a lot, so it's hard to complain, but the disparity is crazy," the "Jackie" star said.

Portman added that she doesn't think women and men were any different in capabilities.

"We just have a clear issue with women not having opportunities. We need to be a part of the solution, not perpetuating the problem," she said.
