'Two And A Half Men' actor Ashton Kutcher dropped hints that the show's original star may return for the series finale.

The actor, who replaced Sheen as Walden Schmidt, was caught off guard when Ellen DeGeneres asked him whether Sheen was making a comeback on the show finale.

"If you're working on the Warner Bros lot, if there's sirens, come save me," Kutcher said but acted all coy when DeGeneres asked 'So Charlie comes back?'.

"I didn't say that. Did I say that? If you smell something, I wasn't smoking it," Kutcher added.

Sheen's character Charlie Harper was killed off in 2011 following his public feud with series creator Chuck Lorre.

The actor has several times expressed his desire to return to the sitcom, whose final episode will air on February 19.
