Ashutosh Padhy enters last 16 of all-India open snooker

Ashutosh Padhy of Odisha beat Vinay Kothari of SVS Club by four frames to one on Thursday to advance to the last 16 of the Q-Lounge All India Open Snooker Championship 2019.

The Odisha cueist got off to a good start with a break of 43 followed by 80, the highest in the tournament so far and kept the momentum to notch up an easy win.

Kreish Gurbuxani of Maharastra thrashed Abdul Kader of Smart Shooters 4-0 to advance along with Laxman Rawat of Indian Oil, who blanked Palani (Q-Lounge).

Laxman Rawat (PSPB) beat Palani (Q-Lounge) 4-0 (66-30, 82-01, 62-21, 78-01); Kriesh Gurubaxani (Mumbai) beat Khader (Smart Shooters) 4-0 (53-44, 84-9, 49-48, 65-35); Rafath Habib (RSPB) beat Nagaraj (Karnataka) 4-3 (06-54, 62-69, 55-54, 57-10, 54-10, 21-60, 51-48); Varunkumar (RSPB) beat Rakesh (SVS) 4-2 (60-35, 107-12, 59-70, 35-62, 85-09, 68-45).
