Law Minister Ashwani Kumar today met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, a day after the Supreme Court pulled up the government on the probe into the coal allocation scam.
Kumar, who met Singh at his South Block office, is learnt to have discussed the observations made by the apex Court wherein it had pulled up the CBI, PMO and Coal Ministry officials for changing the "heart" of the coal scam probe report.
The Court had also directed the government to come out with a law before July 10 to insulate the CBI from "external influence and intrusion".
