A police officer was arrested today by Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths while taking a bribe of Rs 3,000, an official said.
ASI Ranaram, posted at Udaimandir police station in the district, has been demanding a bribe of total Rs 10,000 from complainant Vijay Singh threatening him to incorporate his name in a case, acting DIG (ACB) Narpat Singh said here.
He was caught at a restaurant while taking Rs 3,000, a part of the total bribe demanded, Singh said, adding the ASI was produced in the court, which sent him in judicial custody.
