An assistant sub inspector of police and an assistant registrar of a co-operative society have been arrested for allegedly taking bribe in two separate incidents by Punjab Vigilance Bureau.
ASI Darshan Singh, posted at Rama police station, was arrested while he was accepting Rs 5,000 to file a charge sheet, according to an official spokesperson.
In the second case, a team of Vigilance Bureau, Ferozepur apprehended Surjeet Kumar Dhiman, assistant registrar, co-operative societies, Jalalabad (West) while he was accepting Rs 10,000 to settle a departmental complaint in favour of an employee.
