ASI caught taking bribe: Vigilance Bureau

ASI Ishwar Singh, on duty at police post Kala Amb, was caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from Som Nath, a resident of Pamuwala in Yamunagar district, a Vigilance Bureau spokesman said.

The ASI demanded the bribe from Som for not issuing a challan of his tractor-trolley which was loaded with stone sand, he said.

A case had been registered against the ASI under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, the spokesman said.
