ASI dies after falling from a bridge

An Assistant Sub-Inspector, posted at Kanota police station here, has died allegedly after falling from a bridge on Dhoond river, police said today.

The 59-year-old ASI Dharampal Choudhary was walking over the bridge when he suddenly lost balance and fell on the 45- feet-deep dry river-bed, SHO Kanota police station, Gauri Shankar Bohra said.

Choudhary, a resident of Jat Behror town in Alwar district, was nearing his retirement.

His body will be handed handed over to the family members after post mortem, Bohra said, adding a case has been registered.
