ASI, revenue offical arrested for accepting bribes in Raj

An Assistant Sub Inspector of Police and a revenue official were among three persons arrested today for allegedly accepting bribes in separate cases in Jaipur and Bikaner.

The accused ASI Man Singh, posted with Brahmpuri police station, took a bribe of Rs 15,000 from Rajendra Kumar Sharma to file a closure report in a case against him.

Man Singh handed over the bribe amount to a private person identified as Ramkumar Meena. Both the ASI and Meena have been arrested, SP ACB Param Jyoti said.

In Bikaner, the revenue official (patwari) was arrested while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000.
 

The accused identified as Dara Singh, posted at Khajuwala circle, had demanded the bribe from Vinod Jat for demarcation of his land.

After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the accused was held at his residence while accepting the bribe.

He has been arrested, Anti-Corruption Bureau Inspector Sanjeev Swami said.
