An Assistant Sub-Inspector of Ambala police was today suspended for allegedly condemning Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij's surprise raid at Cantonment Sadar police station in a press conference here.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Surender Pal Singh today suspended ASI Satpal, a police spokesman said.
Vij had conducted a surprise raid at Ambala Cantonment Sadar police station last evening after getting several complaints.
Satpal, who is also a senior office bearer of Haryana Police Karamchari Sangh, held a press conference here today and condemned the health minister's action saying that it would lower down the morale of police force, he said.
The DCP of Ambala took a serious view of the matter and ordered suspension of the police official for violating service rules, the spokesman added.
