Online marketplace AskmeBazaar.Com today launched its Next Day Delivery (NDD) service in Indore and said it aims to roll out the service in 50 more cities in the next two months.
"With a considerable number of digital buyers based in non-metros, we believe that these towns and cities will fuel the next wave of growth for the e-commerce industry. Hence, we have launched the NDD service in Indore and will be rolling it out in 50 more tier-1 and tier-2 cities in the next two months," AskmeBazaar.Com NDD service head Marichi Mathur told reporters in Indore.
Under the NDD model, AskmeBazaar.Com will add local retailers to its network for ensuring delivery of products to the buyers within 24 hours of placing the orders, Mathur said.

Avantha bags order from Kepco to supply power equipments * Avantha Group company CG today said it has bagged order from Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), electric utility of South Korea, for supply of power equipments.
"CG has bagged a prestigious order for 365 kv and 154 kv capacitive voltage transformers (CVT) from...KEPC, the largest electric utility of South Korea and responsible for 93 per cent of Korea's electricity generation," the company said in a statement.
The further said that it won this order beating stiff international competition in a public bid.
