The aspirations of the youth to live in a strong and inclusive India are reflected in the 'New India' campaign, BJP youth wing chief Poonam Mahajan said today.

The BJP Lok Sabha MP and head of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) paid homage to martyrs on Shaheed Diwas at JNU and addressed an event titled "New India: Innovation and Youth".

"The campaign is about the aspirations of the youth in building a strong and inclusive India. The country is growing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the focus of his schemes are the young population," she said.

The campaign, on the Narendra Modi app, presents for youth a choice of nine pledges ranging from women-led development, drug-free India, environment and job creation among others.

The BJYM event focused on the pledge to "stand for an India of peace, unity and harmony" and to build a strong, prosperous and inclusive India by 2022.
