A woman claiming to be an aspiring actor was booked for allegedly misbehaving with police and driving under the influence of alcohol in two separate incidents, a Mumbai police official said Tuesday.

In the first incident, the accused Ruhi Singh and her two male friends stopped at a food outlet in suburban Khar in the wee hours of Monday as they wanted to use washroom there, a police official said.

However, its owner asked them to leave as the joint was closed for the day.

Singh and her friends then allegedly started banging on the doors of the outlet and hurled abuses, following which the staff informed the police.

When police personnel arrived at the spot, Singh and her friends allegedly misbehaved with them.

They were taken to Khar police station and booked under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 332 (deterring public servant from his duty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the official said.

Police arrested the two men accompanying Singh and allowed her to leave the police station as women cannot be arrested after sunset as per law.

An hour later, Singh, who was allegedly driving in an inebriated state, rammed her car into five vehicles in Santacruz.

Her medical tests confirmed presence of alcohol, the official said, following which she was booked under relevant provisions of the IPC for rash driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
