Following the terrorist attack in a school in Peshawar in Pakistan, Assam government today said it has asked all the districts to remain alert and ordered the security forces to be ready to stop any such incidents.
During the discussion at Zero Hour, Environment and Forest Minister Rockybul Hussain said the government has issued instruction to the district administrations for taking necessary measures.
"The security forces have also been asked to be ready," Hussain said on behalf of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who also holds the Home portfolio.

The issue was raised by BJP MLA Ranjit Kumar Das citing a media report that there would be blasts in Assam between December 25 and January 26, and enquired if the state government has taken note of the recent attack at an Army school in Peshawar that left 132 children and 16 staff members dead.
