Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today greeted people of the state on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
"I want to take this opportunity to send my warmest wishes to the people of the state in general and the Muslims in particular.
I wish everyone peace, happiness and unity during this special occasion and say Ramadan Mubarak," Gogoi said in a statement.
He further said the holy month of Ramadan would usher in charity, compassion, peace, happiness and unity amongst all sections of the people.
