Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has mourned the death of six members of a family in a road accident at Balikuchi village on Kamarkuchi-Paikarkuchi road in Nalbari district on Saturday evening.
In a message, Sonowal said he was saddened to hear the news of the fatal road accident which claimed the lives of Samo Talukdar, a resident of Sonkani village and five members of his family including his wife, three daughters and grandchild, official sources said.
The chief minister also expressed his sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls.
The family of Samo Talukdar was returning home when the car in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a ditch.
