Assam CS wants vertical interaction in bureaucratic system

Assam Chief Secretary Vinod Kumar Pipersenia today said there should be freedom for vertical interaction in the bureaucratic system.

This will promote innovation and create a congenial atmosphere for progressive administration, he said here after inaugurating a two-day regional conference on Good Governance and Replication of Best Practises.

"We have to demolish feudal thinking in our present system of functioning," Pipersenia said.

Speaking on the occasion, the Government of India's Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) K V Eapen said, "The aim of organising this regional conference is to expose administrative reforms department to some best practises."
 

"The issue of good governance is a priority," he said.

The issue is simplification of procedures, process and public grievance redressal, he said, adding, digital India has now begun to transform every nook and cranny of the country.
