Assam Governor P B Acharya has directed the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) chairman to hold a special session of the Council, specially for No Confidence M
After considering the request of Niranjan Hojai and 19 other members of the Autonomous Council (MACs) for a No Confidence Motion against Thaosen, the Governor gave the direction to the Council's chairman in exercise of powers conferred under Rule 36(5) of the Assam Autonomous Districts (Constitution of District Councils) Rules, 1951 (as amended), a government release said.
The Governor also directed the chairman to serve a notice today for summoning the meeting to the members of the Council, the release added.
