Assam Regimental Centre beats Steed Fast 4-2

Assam Regimental Centre, Shillong defeated Mumbai's Steed Fast 4-2 in a pool match of the second All India Prize Money Football Championship for Bihar Cup here today.

In an another match played at Patliputra Sports Complex ground, MEG, Bangalore beat Railway Danapur 1-0.

In a thrill packed first match of the day, Assam Regiment Centre took the lead in the 20th minute through left winger R Lal Rama Bhuiya. But Lukman drew parity for Steed Fast in the 42nd minute.

The Assam Regimental boys, however, restored their lead within two minutes through R Lal Nuthuanoa to go into the breather leading 2-1.
 

Assam defender P Ajit Kumar Singh increased his side's tally six minutes after the change of ends with a nice header before Ritesh Sathe reduced the margin in 56th minute.

Medio S Kishen Singh, however, took the match beyond the Mumbai side's grip by scoring in the 73rd minute.

In the second match of the day, MEG, Bangalore defeated Railway Danapur by a solitary goal scored by Lokeshwar Singh.
