Assam government today said it has sent 34 samples of 'Maggi' for testing in government laboratory.
"We have collected 34 samples from all the districts and sent them to government laboratory for testing. We cannot say anything now before the reports come in," Assam Principal Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) Sanjeeva Kumar said.
The government had collected the samples around a week ago after the news of Uttar Pradesh FDA finding of higher than stipulated levels of lead and monosodium glutamate (MSG) in Maggi came in, he said.
"The reports are expected by this evening or tomorrow morning. We'll be able to tell our next step only after that," Kumar said.
