WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will be "contesting and fighting" a US request for his extradition, his lawyer Jennifer Robinson said on Thursday following his arrest by British police.
Robinson said Assange had also told her to pass a message to his supporters that his repeated warnings about the risk of US extradition had been proved right. "He said: 'I told you so'," she said outside Westminster Magistrates Court in London.
