Three persons today filed their nominations for the Muzaffarnagar Assembly bypoll, which is to be held on February 13.
The last date for filing nomination is January 27, while its scrutiny will be taken up on January 28. The poll is scheduled for February 13 and the counting would be held on February 16.
According to Returning Officer Rajender Singh, while Gourav Swaroop filed his nomination papers as a Samajwadi Party candidate, Salman Saeed did so on behalf of Congress.

Salmaan and his father Saeed-uz-Zaman - also a Congress leader - has been accused of giving inflammatory speech before the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots.
Salmaan (33) and his father were among the Muslim leaders named in a case of alleged hate speech, delivered during a meeting at Kahala Par following the deaths of a Muslim and two Hindu youths in Kawal village on August 27, 2013.
