An assistant forester of Regional Forest Office in Baran district was caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths for taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 from an individual, an official spokesperson said.
The forest department official, Kadeer Ahmed had demanded the bribe from a wood contractor in exchange of transporting dried wood from the forest on monthly basis, the spokesperson said.
A case under sections of the Anti-Corruption Act has been lodged against Ahmed, he added.
