The day temperatures rose by a few notches in most parts of Himachal Pradesh and Una was hottest in the region with a high of 40 degrees Celsius.
Sundernagar, Nahan and Bhuntar recorded maximum temperatures of 36.1 degrees Celsius, 34.0 degrees Celsius and 33.5 degrees Celsius, respectively, a MeT department official said today.
Palampur recorded a high of 30.5 degrees Celsius, followed by 30.2 degrees Celsius in Dharamshala, 30.0 degrees Celsius in Solan, 26.4 degrees Celsius in Shimla, 21.4 degrees Celsius in Kalpa and 17.9 degrees Celsius in Keylong, he said.
The minimum temperatures also rose marginally, and Keylong and Manali recorded a low of 4.0 degrees Celsius and 6.2 degrees Celsius, respectively, he said.
The minimum temperature in Bhuntar settled at 14.0 degrees Celsius, 15.3 degrees Celsius in Shimla, 16.7 degrees Celsius in Palampur, 19.3 degrees Celsius in Nahan and 23.5 degrees Celsius in Una.
The MeT office here has predicted thunder showers in the mid hills and rains or snow at isolated places for the next three days.
Rains and thunder showers may occur at isolated places in the lower hills on May 18, the official said.
