At 45.5 deg C, Churu hottest in Rajasthan

Churu, the gateway to the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, remained the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 45.5 degrees Celsius.

Kota, Bikaner, Barmer, Jaisalmer recorded maximum temperatures at 45.3, 45, 45 and 44.8 degrees Celsius while Sriganganagar recorded a high of 44.1 degrees Celsius followed by 43.2 degrees Celsius in Jaipur and Jodhpur, 42.5 degrees Celsius in Ajmer, 42.3 degrees Celsius in Dabok and 42.2 degrees Celsius in Pilani.

The MeT department here has predicted heatwave/duststorm at a few places in west Rajasthan and at isolated places in east Rajasthan.
