RPI president Ramdas Athawale today said he was keen on a ministerial berth only at the Centre, as was promised to him earlier, and not in Maharashtra.

The RPI faction led by him is a part of the ruling BJP-led alliance in the state.

"I want minister's post in the union government, not here," he said.

Athawale was in the city to announce his party's programmes on the occasion of the Constitution Day.

On the differences between the ruling alliance partners BJP and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, he said they would be resolved after the proposed expansion of the state cabinet.
