Atletico de Kolkata retain coach retain Habas, sign 5 Indians

Reigning champions Atletico de Kolkata today announced the signing of five Indian players including the experienced duo of Clifford Miranda and Syed Rahim Nabi for the second edition of the ISL football tournament while retaining coach Antonio Lopez Habas.

The new entrants to don the red and white jersey will be Jewel Raja, Sushil Kumar Singh, Syed Rahim Nabi, Nadong Bhutia and Miranda, who have all played for different teams in the first edition of Indian Super League held last year.

The Kolkata franchise also retained Denzil Franco, N Mohan Raj, Baljit Singh and Arnab Mandal to bolster the line-up.
 

"At Atletico de Kolkata we have been planning for the forthcoming season for a while now and hope the players will make a difference," co-owner Sanjiv Goenka said in a statement.

"We are happy to have selected players aligned to our strategy of creating a competitive team. We believe that it is going to be another exhilarating season," co-owner Utsav Parekh said.
