Atos sets up global delivery centre in Tamil Nadu

: Atos, global leader in digital transformation Monday said it has set up a new global delivery centre in Tamil Nadu.

The building spread across 100 acres in Tirunelveli district would house 2,300 software engineers delivering digital and technology solutions to global customers.

The Tirunelveli campus would leverage the region's high quality talent pool and provide opportunities to solve complex business problems.

The inauguration of the centre was attended by Atos Global leadership and representatives from government of Tamil Nadu among others on Monday.

Commenting on setting up new delivery centre, Sean Narayanan, SEVP and Head of Business and Member of Atos Group General Management Committee said it would generate employment opportunities to local talent and leverage their potential to create a new digital ecosystems.

 

"At Atos, we strive to hire a diverse and competent talent pool and mould it to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions to our clients," he said.

The latest global delivery centre reinforces our commitment to grow and scaling our footprint in India,he said.

According to Atos Syntel, Chief Delivery Officer, Ram Singampalli, the new facility augments the company's delivery centres located in Pune, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru.

"With a large number of engineers graduating every year, the region around Tirunelveli has established itself as a hub for high-tech education in South India, making it optimal for our latest campus," Singampalli said.

The design of the campus has been inspired by employee-friendly architecture. The campus design makes optimal use of natural light and incorporate the latest energy conservation principles to promote sustainability, it said.

Atos employees about 1.20 lakh people across 73 countries with revenues of over Euro 11 billion.
