Three more persons were arrested today in connection with assault on photojournalists before the Tata Group's headquarters 'Bombay House' here, a senior police official said.

"We called the photojournalists and brought them face to face with security persons who were on duty that day. Following the identification, we arrested Shankar Ayyar, Ashok Bamne and Manvir Prajapati," said an official attached to MRA police station.

Two more persons named in the FIR will be arrested after examination of the video footage of the incident, he said.

Police had earlier arrested security personnels Ganesh Shinde and Mayuresh Gurav.

Photojournalists from Times of India, Mid-Day and Hindustan Times were beaten up by the guards on duty at Bombay House last Friday when the ousted Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry arrived to chair the board meeting of Indian Hotels.

Condemning the attack, The Mumbai Press Club had demanded that services of the security agency TOPS group which supplies guards to Tata Group be terminated.

The Press Club and some other organisations would be taking out a protest march tomorrow to the Bombay House as the Tata Group did not respond to the demand, the Club said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, an association of Hindi scribes, Mumbai

Hindi Patrakar Sangh, in a statement slammed the Tata management whose security guards had allegedly beaten up the photojournalists.

The Association has also decided to extend its support to Mumbai Press Club which has organised a protest march tomorrow.
