The snow-laden mountain slopes of Auli are set to see a flurry of skiing activities with the beginning of Winter Ski Carnival and Open Championship from February 22.
Giving this information here today, Tourism Secretary Umakant Panwar said the four-day event will lure adventure sports lovers to Uttarakhand and give a boost to tourism in the state.
People can reach Joshimath in Chamoli district by road and can go to Auli from there by a ropeway, he said.
The event is being organised jointly by Winter Games Association Uttarakhand, Garhwal Mandal Vikas NIgam and Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council, he said.
