Aung San Suu Kyi arrives in Bangalore

After embarking at the Bengaluru International Airport at 2055 hours, she proceeded straight to a seven-star hotel, where she will halt for the night, Deputy Commissioner of Police (VIP Security) A N S Swamy said.

She will leave for Ananthpur district in Andhra Pradesh in a helicopter from HAL airport at 8.45 am for a field visit to see implementation of Mahatama Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme projects.

Suu Kyi will return to Bangalore in the noon and will attend a function at the Indian Institute of Science at 1500 hours.

Later, she will visit for Infosys and participate in a tree planting programme there.

 

She will leave for Bangkok at 2330 hours.
