Aurangabad: five men arrested for gang-raping two girls

The city police today arrested five youths on the charge of gang-raping two girls from Amravati who were doing apprentice-ship at Waluj industrial area here.

The incident took place late last night in the area under the jurisdiction of Cantonment police station.

Police said the girls and their boyfriends had gone to a secluded spot near Bhangsi Mata temple when the accused assaulted the boys and raped both the girls.

The accused, all of them labourers, were identified as Subhash B Badage (32), Shaikh Mustafa Shaikh Musa (30), Subhash S Jadhav (20), Anil S Ubale (20) and Shaikh Sharookh Shaikh Latif (21).
 

After the incident, the victims went to the nearby Shahjahapur village where the sarpanch, Kaleem Patel, took them to the Cantonment police station. After confirmation of rape by doctors, police registered the case and nabbed the accused.
