Drug maker Aurobindo Pharma today posted a consolidated net profit at Rs 562.85 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 403.8 crore in the January-March period of the previous fiscal.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 3,674.7 crore for the fourth quarter. It had reported net sales of Rs 3,143.97 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal, Aurobindo Pharma said in a regulatory filing.
For the year ended March 31, the company posted a net profit of Rs 1,982 crore. It had posted a net profit of Rs 1,575.77 crore during the 2014-15 fiscal.
Net sales of the company stood at Rs 13,650.61 crore for the year ended March 31. It stood at Rs 12,043.23 crore in preceding fiscal.
The company said results of the quarter and year ended March 31, were not comparable with those of previous year.
The company's board, which met today, approved fourth interim dividend of 70 per cent, Re 0.70 per equity share of Re 1 each on the equity share capital of the company for the year 2015-16.
Aurobindo shares today ended 1.24 per cent lower at Rs 754.45 apiece on BSE.
