Mahindra Electric and Auroville international township near here today signed a pact to develop an eco system encompassing the company's electric vehicles, smart parking systems, infrastructure for charging and a software integration platform.
A press release from the Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd said the eco system would be an extension of several e-mobility initiatives of Auroville over the last few decades.
Under the pact, there would be life-style choices made available in quiet mobility, optimal sharing of resources and reduced carbon footprint, hop-on-hop-off shuttles and smart parking, the release said.
Mahindra Electric and Auroville would work with Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Puducherry Smart City Development Ltd and GoGreen BOV.
CEO of Mahindra Electric Mahesh Babu said the evolution of a common platform integrating mobility, energy storage and charging for an entire community was a step towards a green mobility system.
