Australian Trade and Investment Minister Andrew Robb will lead a 300-strong promotional campaign and business mission to India next month, aimed at further strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
'Australia Business Week in India', a promotional campaign and business mission, will be the largest event of its kind undertaken by Australia in India which will be staged in eight major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chandigarh.
"The purpose of the mission is really to give the new momentum to the business ties of the two nations," Australia's Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner (South Asia) Nicola Watkinson told PTI, while asserting that the trade between both sides was about tenth of what is between Australia and China.

The mission aims to enhance bilateral relationships through high-level political and commercial exchanges, and to promote Australia as a trade, investment, education and tourism partner.
Areas to focus for the latest trade mission have been identified as agribusiness, cultural services, education, health and assisted living, food, wine, rail, road safety, tourism, water resource, energy, investment and innovation.
"We believe this really undersells the opportunity of the bilateral relationship. With the new momentum gaining between the two sides in past six months, we are very keen to give opportunity to Australian companies to reset their perception of the Indian market, and to understand what India was able to offer in terms of growth and expansion," Watkinson said.
